Ground anchors transfer tensile loads and consist of an anchor head, a free length and a bond length. The free length enables the anchor to be, a big advantage for excavation pits with very low horizontal deflections.

anchors

Common uses

Excavation support
Temporary or permanent slope stabilisation
Tie down applications for permanent structures

Process

A stable borehole is executed to the right diameter and designed length, filled with cement grout and then the anchor (strand or bar with free and bond length) installed. Post grouting can be done after few hours if necessary. The anchor head is then installed and stressing completed.

Advantages

Pre-stressing reduces movement of support structures
Can be executed in any type of soil
Reduces pile diameter, length and distance

Quality assurance

Keller has been installing anchors for many years, continually evolving the technique to achieve better performance. Testing and monitoring to ensure high quality execution.
